The topics of the APC3 will include all aspects of palaeontology. Below are preliminary topics of scientific sessions suggested by the APC3. We welcome researchers and relevant working groups from Asia and around the world to choose and convene a session. At this stage, the selected topics can be modified for the benefit of the participants as well as the advancement of palaeontology. Details of all scientific sessions will be finalized and announced in the next circular.

• Rise and fall of the Palaeozoic fauna
• Micropalaeontology and global environmental changes
• Mesozoic terrestrial and marine biotas
• Rise of mammals
• Palaeobotany, origin and evolution of angiosperms
• Geochemical proxies for palaeoceanography, palaeoclimatology and palaeoecology
• Molecular palaeobiology
• 3D imaging and advanced techniques on fossil and recent specimens
• Palaeontological heritage, geoparks and geotourism
• Sessions related to IGCP

SHORT COURSES and WORKSHOPS

The APC3 welcomes proposals for short courses and workshops.
The proposal coordinators should inform the APC3 committee relevant information on the venue capacity, the meeting duration and other additional information, including presentation or catering needs.
